Passport Size Photo Maker

Android app passport.size.photo.maker · Effective 30 October 2026 · Version 1.0

The short version: your photos are edited on your phone and are never uploaded to us. There is no account, no sign-in and no photo cloud. The only thing in this app that uses the internet is the small advertising banner at the bottom of the screen.

1. Who we are

Passport Size Photo Maker ("the app") is published by Hemangbhai, an independent developer. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that publisher, and "you" means the person using the app. Questions about this policy: hello@hemangbhai.in.

2. What the app does with your photos

Every step — reading the photo you pick or capture, detecting the face to help you position it, separating the person from the background, cropping to the exact size, drawing the border, building the print sheet and exporting the file — is performed by code running on your device. The pixels of your photo are not sent anywhere.

3. Information the app stores on your device

WhatWhere it livesWhy
Your settings (chosen size preset, DPI, border, background, theme) App-private storage on your phone So the app remembers your preferences
A copy of the photo you last worked on, plus a thumbnail, kept as a "recent project" App-private storage on your phone So a project reopens with the same photo — a gallery link can stop working later
Exported photos you choose to save Your device's pictures library That is the result you asked for

None of this leaves your device through us. There is no upload, no sync and no backup to a service we run.

4. Permissions and why they are asked for

PermissionWhen it is used
CameraOnly while you are on the "Take Photo" screen. The app does not open the camera in the background, and you can skip the camera entirely by choosing a photo instead.
Internet and network stateUsed only to request the advertising banner. The photo editor works with no connection at all.
Advertising ID (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID)Used by the advertising SDK described in section 5.

Picking a photo from your gallery uses the Android system photo picker: you choose the one image the app may read, and the app is never given access to your whole gallery.

5. Advertising (the one network feature)

The app shows a single banner advertisement supplied by Google AdMob. To serve it, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process information such as your advertising ID, device and app information, coarse location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data. This is handled by Google under its own policies:

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and in many regions opt out of personalised ads, in Android Settings under Privacy → Ads. The app is usable without ads loading — if the banner cannot load, everything else still works.

We do not run our own analytics, crash reporting, attribution or tracking SDKs, and we do not receive your photo or any personal information from the ad SDK.

6. Machine-learning features run on the device

Face detection ("face positioning guides") and person/background separation use Google ML Kit models that are bundled inside the app, so the analysis happens on your phone. The app never sends your photo to Google or to anyone else for analysis. Like most Google SDKs, ML Kit may send Google anonymous operational data such as performance and diagnostic metrics; it does not include your images.

7. What we do not collect

8. Children

The app is a general-purpose photo tool and is not directed at children under 13. It contains advertising, so it is not offered as a child-directed app. If you believe a child has used the app and you have a concern, contact us and we will help.

9. Keeping and deleting your data

Because the app keeps its data on your device only, you are in direct control of it:

We cannot delete data for you, because we never receive it. Exported photos that you saved to your gallery remain yours to keep or delete.

10. Security

Your photos are handled inside the app's private, sandboxed storage on your device, protected by Android's app isolation. Advertising requests to Google use HTTPS. No method of storage is perfect, so keep your device's screen lock and encryption enabled — that is what protects the files on it.

11. Google Play Data safety summary

This table is provided so the Play Console declarations match this policy exactly.
